Menora Launches the Season in Punta del Este with the Renovation of the Ahavat Jinam Community Center

Menora kicked off the summer season in Punta del Este with the reopening of the Menora Ahavat Jinam Community Center, which was fully renovated to welcome the community during the summer months. The opening ceremony was attended by Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca, who emphasized the importance of this community space during the holiday period, as a link to tradition and a way to maintain a connection with Jewish life.

During Shabbat services, a large turnout of men, women, and children gathered to enjoy the new facilities and the services offered by the center, with special focus on programs designed for youth. In this way, Ahavat Jinam is established as a space for connection, identity, and community life in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.

As part of the inauguration, a new mikveh was also opened, along with a dedicated space for tevilat kelim, marking a significant milestone for the development of local Jewish life.

Throughout the season, the center offers courses and activities for young people, couples, and families, under the leadership of Rabbi Ariel Berim and with the support of Uriel Sadrinas, who oversees the proper functioning and organization of the space.
